Cancer Therapies
Cancer Therapies
Cancer treatments are diverse and tailored to the specific type of cancer a patient has, as well as their overall health and other individual factors.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is a common treatment that uses drugs to kill cancer cells, often through intravenous injection.
ImmunotherapyI
mmunotherapy works by stimulating the body’s immune system to fight the cancer cells, and may involve drugs or other agents that enhance immune response.
Radiation therapy
Radiation therapy uses high-energy radiation to target and kill cancer cells, and may be delivered externally or internally.
Surgical oncology
Surgical oncology involves the removal of cancerous tissue and may be used as a standalone treatment or in combination with other therapies.
Vaccine therapy
Vaccine therapy involves using a vaccine to stimulate the immune system to fight cancer cells.
Radiological intervention
Radiological intervention, such as ablation or embolization, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses imaging guidance to deliver therapy directly to the tumor.
The choice of treatment is made by the patient’s medical team and may depend on a variety of factors, including the stage and location of the cancer, the patient’s overall health, and the potential side effects of the treatment.
